Wow. It's hard to believe that all of the planning, all of the meetings, all of the prayers are about to come to fruition and this wonderful team will be leaving soon, to head to Costa Rica to further God's work at the Iglesia, Fuente de Gracia.
We had a meeting last night to discuss the tools we'd need, some of our packing requirements, lodging on site, funding for the project, tools we'll need to rent, what will be available to us when we get there, and to basically iron out any questions we have regarding the 'building site'.
We'll be pouring a concrete floor on the second level of an existing building. If I'm not mistaken, the second level will serve as a media room/youth room for members of the church. The great thing about this addition is.... this church and it's members reach out to the community, and anyone will be able to use the facilities. It's exciting work, and we are all looking forward to getting our hands dirty.
Our team has some concerns, as you would imagine when traveling out of the wonderful country that we live in. So, we ask for continued prayer for our safety, both while traveling and while on the construction site. We are also leaving our families behind, so we ask for prayer for peace of mind and heart, knowing that we have been called to do God's work, that our families support us, and will have God's protection and comfort in our absence.
We plan to update this blog on a regular basis while we are in Costa Rica. However, there may be internet limitations and accessability issues that we may encounter. We'll do our best to keep all informed though.
This is an exciting time for our team. Specifically, we ask that you continue to pray for us by name.. and we are:
Reid Hildreth
Barry Rehm
Ashley Vinson
Jason Vinson
Terri Griffin
Patrick Marks
Ann Collier
Kay Coggins
Dennis Coggins
Chris White
Thank you and God bless you all.
Merry Christmas from the team!!!
