No regrets.......

Good morning!!  Buenas Dias de Costa Rica!!

Today started with sun and a breeze at 7:00am.  Temps in the high 80's today.

Jason gave the morning devotion, based on Proverbs 20:17,
17 Bread gained by deceit tastes sweet to a person, but afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel.

This passage reminds us that although we may gain profit by cheating, or being less than honest in our work, eventually the lies and deceit will convict us.  I believe Holy Spirit will knock you around so much that you will see that to gain in that manner certainly won't earn you too many brownie points in heaven.  This not only applies to our work life, but our personal relationships as well.  We all should be asking God to help us do our best work, so that we have and carry no regrets.

We all have different talents, as we have talked about many times before.  Some of us are blessed with talents in the medical field, some blessed with the patience and the desire to teach, some with the talents as caregivers in other fields, some as brick masons, painters, chefs....and of course I could list soooo many more trades and professions....but the point is, that no matter what you have been called to do, whether it's to run a business or to find the cure for cancer....God calls and expects us to do our very best and honest work.  In doing so, your talents and skills will certainly bless others and you should have no regrets and carry no guilt.

This does not mean that we will not make mistakes in our lives, and be sorry for those mistakes.  All we can do then is to ask for forgiveness and know that our Father will forgive us never leave us.

Today, the ladies power washed the block wall to prep for painting and the guys worked on securing the ceiling tiles that had fallen and began work on the interior of the stairwell. The wall got a good start on paint and the guys even layed out the plan for a new storage building.  It was a very productive day.  We have all been blessed by our interactions and the jobs we have done.  We even got a lot of help from our neighbors and friends, both new and old.  And, we don't discriminate on age.... as you can see by this sweet photo of 4 year old Santiago hard at work.  We love you!!!
