Serve God enthusiastically

It's another beautiful day in Costa Rica.  The sun is shining, the breeze is blowing and God is with us.  Amen?  Amen!

Damian had the morning devotion and he talked to us about serving God enthusiastically.  When we come on this trip, everyone is working hard, is joyful in our service to God and this community and we all work together as a finely tuned machine.  However, when we get home and back into our normal routines, our service to God seems to suffer some.  We tend to back peddle just a bit when it comes to our enthusiasm when doing God's work, whether it's work in the church, our communities, or simply in our family life.  Damian reminded us that our call is not to just serve here in Costa Rica, but every day.  May the Holy Spirit remind us daily that our God is worth getting excited over, and wortk our most spirited efforts.

We are off for some relaxation.  We will be spending the night at one of God's most amazing creations, Arenal Volcano.  We will have some time to relax and reflect on our time here.  If you do not hear from us until tomorrow night, no worries.  Maybe internet isn't as strong up there, and maybe it's not such a horrible thing for our contact to be limited just a little.  At any rate, do not worry, we are in good hands.... because we are in His hands.

Scripture reading for today:
Philippians 2:1-4
Romans 12:3-11

God bless you all, family and friends.  We love you and we will be home soon.  We ask that you support us in our enthusiasm for God, and our service.  We pray you will share in our excitement and feel His presence when we are home.
