You mean we're driving on THAT road?????

Well, today was like none other.  Reid drove us to Monteverde where we went to Sky Trek to do the canopy tour in the cloud forrest and to do the zip line.   The zip line was extreme, but nothing like the ride up the mountain.   Imagine driving a car up a dry rocky river bed, on the edge of a mountain, with no guard rail....... got that image?   Well, we rode it for about an hour and in total it was about 15 miles or more.   It was the scariest drive with the absolute most breath taking views I have seen.   We rented a 15 passenger van, that really was mis-advertised (if you consider the jump seats) to take the 12 of us on what we thought was a 2 hour ride, that turned into a 3 hour ride.   It was insanity, crazy, exciting, amazing... all of those adrenaline adjectives... and more.   The zip line was the one of the highest, longest zip lines in the world, and we all survived.    The walking canopy tour that the other 1/2 of our group took was also a great trip.  They saw poisonous snakes and a tarantula and all sorts of plant life.    Folks, it was an amazing end to an amazing 10 days.

We're packing now and getting ready to go to bed.   Our time here has come to an end.... we are excited to be coming home, but sad to be leaving the place that has become so dear to us.   We leave behind not just a concrete slab that will be used as the foundation to a second floor, but we leave behind a piece of ourselves.  We plan to come back and for those of us who now have a piece of Costa Rica in our blood, it will certainly happen.

God bless you all for keeping up with us, praying for us, thinking of us, and supporting us.   We will see you soon and look forward to sharing our adventures and the rest of our photos.

God is good..... all the time!!   ALL THE TIME!!!
