New day..... new adventures

Today was a beautiful day. We began our day with devotions at 7:00am.  Terri Griffin talked about how people come into our lives for a purpose.... whether for a season.... or for a specific reason.  Scripture referances were from Ecclesiastes 3:1-7, 14: Romans 8:28-30 and Proverbs 19:21.   The team that was chosen was certainly sent for a purpose, and we're seeing it moment by moment.

After breakfast, we spent a few minutes discussing what our game plan for the day would be, and then we got to work.  We finished installing the support posts for completing our project next week.  We'll be doing quite a bit of prep work on Monday and Tuesday, and should be pouring concrete beginning on Wednesday.

We had some down time, so, we loaded up three cars and headed to the beach.  We had a great day hanging out, talking, walking and eating.   What can I say.... it was beautiful.  The beach we went to  was a popular surfing spot (waves didn't appear to be big enough for them today) so you can imagine that it was pretty busy.  The area was in what I would consider a resort town, with lots of shops, lots of beach vendors and lots of hotels.  If we said "Gracious, no" to one vendor, we said it to a hundred.  I wish I had enough money to buy one pottery vase from every one,... but it just wasn't possible. 

Anyway.... it was another great day bonding with new friends and spending time with old ones.  By the time we are ready to mix and pour concrete, we should be working like a well oiled machine.
